If you are interning remotely with us you should have already received the instructions and forms to complete your I-9 paperwork from home. If you did not receive your I-9 instructions, please check your junk folder then reach out to your onboarding coordinator or recruiter as soon as possible. Please read and review the instructions you received entirely to ensure you understand the next steps.
Below you will find some frequently asked questions & common corrections for completing your I-9 forms remotely. In order to not encounter any delays in your hiring process and to limit the amount of corrections needed please review the questions below and the make the necessary corrections on your documents.
Q: How do I know if I should provide my middle initial?
A: Your I9 needs to be identical to the identification you provide (ex: Social Security Card, Passport, etc.). For example, if your passport does not include your middle initial- please put “N/A” under “Middle Initial.”
Q: I’m done filling in Section 1, do I need to write anything in the empty boxes?
A: Yes! Please write “N/A” in any empty box. Some examples may be “other name, apartment number, middle initial,” etc.
Q: I do not have access to a Notary Public to verify my identification. What do I do?
A: You don’t need a Notary Public to verify your identification. You can have a trusted friend, colleague, or neighbor verify your identification. Please have them click on the Notary Packet and follow the instructions for verifying your information.
Q: In section 2, what should the person verifying my documents list under “Title of employer”?
A: The person can write their title or relationship to you (ex: friend, neighbor, etc.)
Q: What do I put for Employer Business in section 2?
A: The employer business should be: The Walt Disney Company
Q: What address should I put for Employer Address?
A: Please use the following address: 1515 E Lake Buena Vista Dr, Lake Buena Vista FL 32830
Q: I don’t have a fax machine or scanner, how can I send my printed form?
A: Not a problem! You can take a picture of your documents using your smart phone and can email them to us that way. Please make sure that the information is clear and legible.
Q: The PDF form isn’t loading and I do not have a printer. What do I do?
A: The fillable PDF document requires an updated version of Adobe. If you are having issues accessing the form I would recommend trying to access the form on a different browser. If that doesn’t work and you do have a printer, I would recommend reaching out to other friends or family members who may let you use their printer.
If you have any additional questions while completing your I-9 please email our Global HR Operations team who will be reviewing the documents. Their email can be found in the I-9 instructions you received via email.
