In order to be considered for a Disney Professional Internship, you must be able to provide your own work authorization at the time of application. If you study at a U.S. school on an F-1 visa and are able to obtain a CPT or OPT from your school for the length of the internship, this would qualify. You should check with your designated school official to find out more about the steps in this process and any criteria your school may have.
For students studying at a college or university outside of the United States, you would need to have your own work authorization at the time you apply in order to meet these eligibility requirements.
If you are selected to participate in a Professional Internship, it is imperative that you have all of your work authorization documents physically with you at the time of check in. Otherwise, you will not be able to begin your internship.
If you are a student based in the United Kingdom looking for an internship there, our UK internships follow a different process than our United States-based internship. Here's some general information we can share in the meantime:
- The program offers 1 year of work experience from June to June every year across all lines of business in the London-based head office. It’s meant for those in a UK-based sandwich program, a four-year undergraduate course.
- Jobs are usually posted from October-December, candidates are interviewed between January and March, and interns are hired between April and June, with a start date of June.
- All jobs are posted on the Disney Careers website, and all candidates must apply online. The existing right to work in the United Kingdom is essential.
If you are interested in opportunities open to students studying outside of the U.S., a great place to start would be the Disney International Program. The International Program offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to intern with Disney from all around the world. More information on the program and qualifications can be found at www.disneyinternationalprograms.com.
