Technology: Before recording your OnDemand interview, make sure that your camera and microphone are working. You can record your interviews on a computer or a mobile device. You will have the opportunity to record practice videos before starting your actual interview. Taking advantage of these practice videos can not only ensure your technology is working, but can help you get more comfortable. On Demand interviews work on the latest versions of the following browsers:
-
-
- Google Chrome (preferred)
- Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari (version 15 or higher)
- On Demand interviews are unable to be completed on Internet Explorer.
-
On Demand interviews require a minimum speed of 100kpbs, but 350kbps is recommended.
Dress Code: We recommend wearing what you would wear to an in-person interview. Business casual is appropriate (collared shirts, casual dresses, avoid large logos or insignias, etc.)
Setting: Be aware of your lighting and positioning. Ideally, you should have a light source in front of you. Avoid light behind you because this can make it hard to see you. Virtual backgrounds are currently not available, so make sure that you have a distraction-free environment.
Do the test recording to help you get comfortable. Look directly at the camera and not at the screen. This gives the feeling of eye contact and can be less nerve wracking than watching yourself.
